Through Purdue University, a broad spectrum of continuing education opportunities is available to practicing engineers. These include credit and professional development courses, on-campus and off-campus programs, master's degree programs, and satellite teleconferences encompassing engineering and engineering-management disciplines.

Continuing Engineering Education at Purdue broadcasts most of these programs on the closed-circuit Indiana Higher Education Telecommunications System (IHETS) satellite network. Featuring two-way audio to support teacher/learner interaction, the programs are received in-plant at approximately 100 industrial locations and public access sites, enabling technical industries and engineers to maintain their competitive edge. Regional gradute programs are also offered at Hammond (Calumet campus), Fort Wayne (Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne campus) and Indianapolis (Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis). Outside of Indiana, many of these programs are available via IHETS satellite, and some via the Internet.
